Doormotion, a leading provider of loading bay equipment, industrial and bespoke specialty door systems, was set up during the recession in 2011 and has since grown into a thriving, highly professional business. Its directors approached 2020 Brand + Marketing Visionaries to help position the company for further growth through an integrated marketing strategy.
Following extensive research, we developed a detailed marketing plan for Doormotion outlining a roadmap for the company’s growth, as well as a framework of activities which would build greater awareness around its brand. One of our first tasks was to develop a core message to identify Doormotion’s position in the marketplace. The company had been in existence for 4 years but, due to the strong personal reputation of its two directors in the industry, hadn’t leveraged the company’s brand reputation enough. The directors recognised that they needed to develop the Doormotion brand, so that it can become one of the most recognised names within their industry. The positioning statement ‘Reliable, Innovative, Responsive’ we developed is built on the reputation that lies at the core of the business. Doormotion wanted to communicate that it can offer the best products on the market, not limited to a single brand, and that it is a solution provider rather than a product seller. The new positioning statement communicates the professionalism and knowledge that lies at the heart of everything the company does. We integrated the new positioning statement with a refresh of Doormotion’s brand identity, creating a new suite of collateral and executing across an extensive range of touch points including: brand guidelines, stationery, presentation templates, pull-up stand, advertisements, staff uniforms, detail aids and datasheets. We also developed a new mobile-responsive website targeting the vertical markets we had identified for the company in the marketing strategy.
